Pants, Tights, Capris
My favorite things to wear on the bottom while I am running are: capris, running skirts and tights. I don’t like running in shorts. That could change in the future, but for now, I am not a shorts fan. My favorite brands for these pieces are Brooks and Athleta.
**Fit is based on what works well for my frame. My favorite things may not be the best things for your body. I am 5’10″ and 140 lbs. Size small. My favorite brands, however, are universal, and have great return policies!**
Running Skort: I was so happy to discover the running skort. The skort is a skirt, with built in compression shorts. It’s the functionality of compression shorts, which don’t ride to prevent chafing, but are not very attractive. Actually, not attractive at all. Enter, the skirt to cover unattractive compression shorts. Voila! A skort! I am an athlete, yes. But I am also a girly girl who loves to dress up. I want to look cute while I am running (and practicing yoga, too). Brooks and Athleta are my current faves for running skorts. They have so many cute ones, and they are runner-friendly.
Tights: On really cold runs (below 40 degrees), I will don running tights. But, these have to be stylish. The Brooks Infiniti Running Tights are cute and comfortable and a great fit for my tall frame.
