I am officially in the “off-season.”

I have no major race scheduled until October (Nike Women’s Half marathon), and after training and running one half-marathon (Seattle), two marathons (Seattle Rock and Roll and Boston), a 10k (March 4th fun run), two 5k’s (Jingle Bell Run and St. Patty’s Day Dash’s), the Color Run, and the Foam Fest in the past 9 months, I am long overdue for a much-needed break!

And by break, I mean:

  • no “training
  • no half-marathons or marathons
  • no “scheduled” training runs

However, break does not mean no exercise.

I will:

  • run one race/month (5k or 10k)
  • practice yoga
  • sweat daily
  • maintain my fitness by loosely following a maintenance schedule

It’s summertime in Seattle…finally!
