After running two marathons in two months,

90 degree Boston Marathon, April 16, 2012

Seattle Rock and Roll Marathon, June 23, 2012
I am officially in the “off-season.”
I have no major race scheduled until October (Nike Women’s Half marathon), and after training and running one half-marathon (Seattle), two marathons (Seattle Rock and Roll and Boston), a 10k (March 4th fun run), two 5k’s (Jingle Bell Run and St. Patty’s Day Dash’s), the Color Run, and the Foam Fest in the past 9 months, I am long overdue for a much-needed break!
And by break, I mean:
- no “training“
- no half-marathons or marathons
- no “scheduled” training runs
However, break does not mean no exercise.
I will:
- run one race/month (5k or 10k)
- practice yoga
- sweat daily
- maintain my fitness by loosely following a maintenance schedule
It’s summertime in Seattle…finally!
